DC Plant Week 2026 is Here! Celebrate With Botanologica 🌿
DC Plant Week is back, baby! And we couldn’t be more excited to participate for our third year in a row.
From August 22–29, plant shops and plant lovers across the DMV are coming together for a week dedicated to all things green—and we’ve got plenty happening right here at Botanologica in Falls Church City.
This year, we’re mixing things up a little with special promotions running throughout the week, plus workshops, a plant swap, flowers, local treats, and more. Whether you’re a longtime plant parent or simply looking for something fun to do in Falls Church, we hope you’ll join us for one (or all!) of the festivities.
Saturday, August 22: Ceramics Workshop with Pressed Botanicals
We’re kicking off DC Plant Week with a little creativity! Join Persimmon Street Ceramics for a hands-on ceramics workshop featuring beautiful pressed botanical details.

Thursday, August 27: Plant Swap + Happy Hour
Bring a plant, take a plant, meet some fellow plant people!
Our Plant Swap + Happy Hour is happening right out front of the shop. Bring along a healthy plant or cutting you’re ready to part with and swap it for something new while hanging out with our Falls Church plant-loving community.

Saturday, August 29: Flowers, Treats + Coffee
We’re closing out DC Plant Week with a very Botanologica kind of Saturday.
Bisnonna Bakeshop will be popping up at the shop with delicious treats, we’ll have a Build Your Own Bouquet Bar filled with beautiful seasonal blooms, and our friends at Twelve Twenty Coffee will be out front serving up drinks.
Grab a coffee, build some flowers, pick up something sweet, and hang with us as we send off another amazing DC Plant Week.

One of our favorite things about DC Plant Week is getting to celebrate the people and small businesses that make the DMV plant community so special.
As a local plant + gift shop in the heart of Falls Church City, we’re endlessly grateful for the community that continues to show up for our sweet little shop. DC Plant Week is the perfect excuse to get together, discover new plants and local makers, and support the independent plant shops that help keep our neighborhoods green.
